Have you ever felt the frustration of not finding clothes that suit your body?

When I was 16, in the fitting room of a shop in central Milan, a sales assistant asked me: “But how come?!”

with an air of disapproval and astonishment, as if it were absurd that my body didn't fit the styles her shop offered.

I couldn't believe my ears. In that moment she made me feel frustrated and “wrong”, even though, of course, I wasn't the one who was wrong.

It took thirty years and more than a decade of experience in fashion before I decided to launch roderì, my womenswear brand, which would be not just a business but a true mission:

to create a chic, elegant and comfortable alternative for all women, including those who don't have a model's figure.

The light-bulb moment came when I put on a pair of sports leggings with an elastic band across the tummy. They reminded me of the comfort and support of a skirt I loved as a little girl, because it made me feel pretty and comfortable at the same time.

And so the roderì BASCHINA was born, our stretch waistband: the piece that combines comfort and style, making us all feel beautiful and confident, flattering and adapting as closely as possible to the shape of our bodies.

Launching my brand wasn't easy, and I faced many challenges, especially at the beginning. But then it happened: a community of women began to grow and to love my BASCHINA and the other roderì pieces.

Seeing them happy and confident in my clothes encouraged me to pursue my dream.

The BASCHINA isn't just a piece of clothing; it's a symbol of a change in fashion.
